About John
John Vernon is an attorney who has counseled growth-minded business owners and entrepreneurs in structuring, financing, and scaling their ventures. Clients trusted him for providing business and legal advice in the pursuit of both immediate and long-term goals. His exceptional communication skills and keen insights have made him a valued team member.
John earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and has been a member of the Maryland Bar since 2019. I want to support students and help them feel engaged. Every student learns at a different pace and in their own style. I will explain complex ideas in simple, understandable terms. Through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, I hope to boost students’ confidence. I will share my experience and expertise in subject areas and will tackle a range of questions students may face.
As a law school graduate, I like to follow Socratic questioning, asking guided questions to lead students to find answers on their own. Often, this involves breaking down complex concepts into smaller, manageable parts. I also try to use analogies, examples, scaffolded learning, retrieval and recall, diagramming, gamification, and collaborative problem-solving. I can offer a personalized approach based on each student’s needs and requirements. I want to create a positive learning environment that fosters meaningful progress.
I have a passion for learning and education and want to inspire the same curiosity and motivation in students.
