About Earnestina
I am a final year law student, who has studied Economics, Biology and Chemistry at A level.
I have been tutoring friends of family for almost three years now during the holidays.The students I have taught have become very confident in their ability and in terms of progress they were able to go from a C to an A grade with a greater understanding and better approach to tackling exam questions.

As a recent student I understand how to teach and approach students in a way in which they can understand and retain new information.I think the most important thing is to first ensure that the student has the foundation and understanding required in order to approach the subject topic.If their understanding is incoherent then they are unlikely to be able to approach questions that may be slightly more challenging.To ensure a solid foundation I ask my students to explain to me their understanding of the topic and then I assess whether she/he understands the concept.Once I am confident that the student understands the information, I usually go through past paper questions related to that individual topic so that the student is more confident and so that I know she is able to apply her knowledge to an exam question.
