About Megan
I am a University of Edinburgh graduate who studied Spanish and Italian, with a strong passion for languages and cultural exchange. Through my year abroad in Chile, where I worked in a secondary school teaching English, I developed valuable experience working with young people in a classroom environment and helping students build confidence in communication.
Having recently completed GCSEs, A-Levels, and university language study myself, I understand the challenges students face and how to approach exams effectively. I am friendly, patient, and reliable, and I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive, and adapted to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
I believe language learning should feel approachable and rewarding, and I enjoy helping students gain both confidence and genuine enjoyment in Spanish.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s improving confidence in speaking, preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, or strengthening grammar and vocabulary. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
I use a communicative approach to teaching, combining conversation practice with clear explanations of grammar, reading and listening exercises. Having studied Spanish and Italian at the University of Edinburgh and spent a year abroad in Chile working in a secondary school teaching English, I understand both language learning and classroom teaching from first-hand experience.
Lessons are typically 30-60 minutes long and are suitable for GCSE, A-Level, and beginner to intermediate learners of all ages. I focus on building confidence and helping students develop practical language skills alongside strong exam technique.
