About Greg
I am a philosopher and writer with a great passion for language teaching. My motto is inspire and empower. I owe everything I am to the teachers who believed in me. It is my mission to help my students to realise their potential.
I have taught since 2007. Teaching is a fulfiling and grounding activity for my abstract thinking. My goal is not only to impart language skills, but also to enable my students to learn for themselves. I believe in the joy of learning and the beauty of knowledge.

I teach mostly online. The typical lesson length is 45 minutes. I love teaching beginners who need to build up their confidence in a foreign language. I am very patient, kind and encouraging. My motto is inspire and empower.
I am also a lover of abstract thinking (having read philosophy at a German university). So I am fully capable to assist you if you want to read Kant or Hegel in the original, or enter the waters of contemporary Latin composition.
My specialties are grammar, speaking and phonetics, to mention just a few. I offer both theoretical lecture-like and practical exercise-based lessons. I started private tuition in 2007 and acquired a CELTA-certificate in 2014.
Most of my students are adults, but I have taught school pupils as well. I advocate life-long learning and encourage people of any age (no upper limit) to learn a language. It's never ever too late!
