About Annie
Hiya! I'm Annie - I am from West London and have recently graduated from LAMDA on the BA Professional Acting Course. I came in to Acting through Open Door people, not knowing much about techniques or skills I would use to approach text. Having had these taught to me, and being nurtured in understanding the craft of Acting immensely helped me in my auditions for Drama School, and I successfully was offered a place at LAMDA in my first year of auditioning. I am enthusiastic about the arts, and passing on my knowledge to encourage people to audition and feel confident in their talents! Its so important that we have more creative people being confident in what they do. I am very relaxed, and adaptive to whatever is most comfortable for you and how you learn, and will figure it out alongside you.

We will begin dramaturgically, breaking down your speech/script in to beats, thought changes and the clear moments of tension and change so we are fully in line with the text. We will then use a multitude of tools, like actioning, physicalising the text, improvisations around the content, and many other skills to find which best suits your method. We will rehearse your text with a variation of objectives and redirection to bring a fluidity to your approach and prepare you for redirection in auditions. We will approach different styles of text (Classical, Contemporary, Comedy, Drama) so you are well rounded in feeling comfortable with any material.
Typical length of a lesson is from 1 hour - 2 hours depending on if the material is being prepared for an upcoming audition.
My lessons are focused towards people auditioning for Drama School/Acting institutions or youth groups.
