About Vbackhouse

I am a mum to my Year 8 daughter, and I have decided to take a break from classroom teaching. In term time I am tutoring students who can’t access mainstream education and need that one-to-one approach. I am down to earth and understand the individual needs of different students at different stages in their learning journey.

About the lesson

Testimony
We cannot recommend Vicky highly enough. She has a fabulous, down-to-earth personality and immediately built a great rapport with our son. He genuinely connected with her, which made such a difference to his engagement and willingness to learn.
Our son had missed a significant amount of education in earlier years due to being removed from lessons and, if we're honest, spending too much time messing about rather than focusing on his studies. As a result, he lacked confidence in his English abilities and was feeling quite anxious about his GCSEs.
Thanks to her patient, encouraging approach and ability to explain things in a way that really resonated with him, his confidence grew enormously. She helped him fill gaps in his knowledge without ever making him feel judged or overwhelmed. By the time he went into his GCSE exams, he felt far more prepared, capable and confident than we ever thought possible.
She has been a fantastic influence on both his academic progress and self-belief, and we are incredibly grateful for all her support. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for an exceptional English tutor.
