My teaching is built on a Serve & Return methodology, where learning develops through active academic interaction, not passive listening.
How it works in lessons:
• I serve a concept, question, or structured explanation
• The student returns their understanding verbally or in writing
• I immediately correct language, logic, and structure
• The idea is served again at a higher level
• The cycle repeats until understanding is precise and confident

ABOUT THE LESSON (STRUCTURE & METHODOLOGY)
Each lesson follows a clear, disciplined structure designed to maximise understanding, accuracy, and confidence.
A typical lesson begins with a brief diagnostic review of prior knowledge to identify gaps and misconceptions. New concepts are then introduced through clear, step-by-step explanations, supported by colour-coded notes, diagrams, worked examples, and demonstrations. Where appropriate, I integrate simulations, short videos, and practical illustrations to connect abstract theory to real-world contexts familiar to the student.
Throughout the lesson, I deliberately highlight links between topics and across subjects (for example, Mathematics with Physics, or Chemistry with Biology). This reinforces deep understanding and prevents fragmented learning — a key requirement for high exam performance.
SERVE & RETURN LEARNING IN PRACTICE
Lessons are built around continuous Serve & Return academic interaction:
