About Wianne
Hi! I'm a university student with a passion for languages and language learning. I completed HSC Korean Continuers and understand the challenges students face when learning Korean, especially when preparing for school assessments and the HSC.
I also have experience working as a Japanese tutor, which has taught me how to explain language concepts clearly, adapt lessons to different learning styles, and create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. My goal is to help students build confidence while making lessons engaging and practical.
Whether you're studying HSC Korean Continuers, learning Korean for travel, or simply interested in Korean language and culture, I'll tailor each lesson to your individual goals and pace. Teaching Approach:
I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each student's goals, learning style, and pace. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their Korean skills.
For HSC Korean Continuers students, I focus on strengthening grammar, expanding vocabulary, improving listening and reading comprehension, and developing speaking and writing skills in line with the NSW syllabus. I also provide guidance on exam techniques, past paper practice, and strategies for responding effectively to HSC-style questions.
For beginner learners, I start with Hangul, pronunciation, essential grammar, and everyday vocabulary before gradually introducing more complex language structures. Lessons include a combination of explanation, guided practice, conversation, reading, writing, and revision to help students build confidence across all language skills.
Typical length of a lesson:
A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, although I am happy to offer 90-minute lessons depending on the student's needs. Each lesson includes a review of previous content, introduction of new material, practice exercises, and time for questions.
Qualifications/experiences
I completed HSC Korean Continuers, giving me firsthand knowledge of the course content, assessment requirements, and effective study strategies. I also have experience working as a Japanese tutor, where I have helped students improve their language skills through personalized lessons and patient guidance. This tutoring experience has strengthened my ability to explain language concepts clearly, adapt lessons to individual learning styles, and create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
My lessons are suitable for HSC Korean Continuers students, as well as beginners and lower-intermediate learners of all ages who want to learn Korean for school, travel, or personal interest.
