Perfect! I’ve found Alexandra to be a really exceptional violin teacher and my find playing is improving noticeably after every lesson. She is extremely quick to spot technical issues in both hands and demonstrate how to correct them. There’s a lot of focus on playing slowly and deliberately and creating a concentrated sound which I’ve found is transforming my orchestral playing and solos. Although there’s a lot of suggestions for improvement, it’s all delivered in a friendly, constructive and helpful tone. One really effective technique she uses after you’ve played a passage is to ask you what she’s going to say which trains you to become your own critic – something I find helps when you practice alone.
I’ve recently started doing on-line lessons after a few months of face-to-face and I’m finding it just as useful as before. I thoroughly recommend Alexandra!
