About Tanbirul
Hello! I’m Tanbirul, a Social Sciences student at King’s College London with a strong passion for Economics. Having studied Economics at A-Level, I have developed a deep understanding of the subject and am excited to help students achieve their academic goals. With 1 year of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping students at GCSE and A-Level levels improve their understanding of Economics and perform confidently in exams. I am dedicated to providing personalised tutoring that caters to each student’s individual learning style and needs, whether they are aiming for top grades or looking to overcome challenges with the subject. My approach focuses heavily on exam preparation, using past papers and practice questions to ensure that students are well-prepared for their exams. My Approach to Tutoring: I believe in tailoring lessons to the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they not only understand the material but feel confident applying it. I aim to make Economics engaging and relevant, using real-world examples to help students connect abstract concepts to everyday life. I work with students at their own pace, breaking down complex ideas into manageable parts and building their understanding step by step. Teaching Methodology: My teaching approach is highly interactive, with a strong emphasis on exam preparation and past paper practice. I understand that exams play a significant role in students’ academic progress, so I focus on helping students familiarise themselves with exam-style questions and improve their exam technique. I provide regular opportunities for students to practise past papers, quizzes, and tailored exercises to reinforce key concepts. This helps them not only review content but also develop effective strategies for answering questions under timed conditions. In addition to exam practice, I foster an environment of active learning, encouraging problem-solving and discussions to deepen understanding. Continuous feedback is provided to ensure students grasp their progress, identify areas for improvement, and gain confidence in tackling exam questions. Typical Length of a Lesson: Each lesson typically lasts 1 hour, although I am flexible if a longer session is needed for more complex topics or exam preparation. I find that this duration allows for an in-depth exploration of key content, while also providing students with the time to ask questions and fully engage with the material. Qualifications & Experience: As a current Social Sciences student at King’s College London, I have a strong academic foundation in Economics, having studied it at A-Level. I also have 1 year of tutoring experience, helping students with GCSE and A-Level Economics. My goal is to assist students in reaching their full potential, whether they’re preparing for exams or seeking a deeper understanding of Economics.
