About Yusra
Hi! I am currently studying Law at King’s College London, and I achieved a score of 29 in the LNAT, placing me significantly above the national average and among the stronger applicants to competitive law schools. I did well in critical reading, argument analysis, and timed essay writing, and these are exactly the kinds of skills I help students build and improve.
Alongside this, I have a strong background in English, achieved particularly in academic writing and structuring essays clearly and logically. I have always been very comfortable working with written material, whether that is breaking down complicated ideas or helping someone build stronger arguments. I have also consistently supported peers with their writing and university applications, which has helped me develop a more patient and adaptable teaching style.
Overall, my aim is to help students feel more confident in their abilities and less overwhelmed by exams, essays, or applications. I want lessons to feel like a space where things finally make sense and where progress actually feels achievable.

My tutoring style is pretty relaxed and focused on making things actually easy to understand rather than overwhelming. I like to figure out where a student is struggling first, then explain things step by step in a way that makes sense to them specifically. I usually mix explanations with practice questions so we are not just learning passively, but actually applying everything as we go. I focus a lot on exam technique and how to actually apply knowledge under pressure, not just learn it in theory, as I find this is what tends to help students the most.
Most of my lessons are around 60 minutes, but I am flexible depending on what the student needs. If we are doing exam prep, we would usually work a bit faster and focus on technique and timing, whereas if it is something more challenging, I would slow things down and make sure the basics are really solid first.
I am currently a Law student at King’s College London, and I have gone through the UCAS and LNAT process myself fairly recently, so I understand what universities are looking for and what students tend to struggle with. I also have experience helping others with essay writing and structuring arguments in a clearer way.
My lessons are mainly for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as sixth formers applying to university, especially those working on personal statements, LNAT prep, or essay writing. I am also happy to help anyone who just wants to improve their confidence in writing or get better at structuring their ideas.
