About Lisa
I’m Lisa, a credentialed teacher with extensive classroom and tutoring experience. I’m kind, patient, professional, and committed to helping students feel confident in their abilities.
I have experience teaching and supporting students across a wide range of ages and learning needs, including GATE, AP, and students who benefit from specialized support. I bring strong knowledge of ELA, math, public speaking and debate, study skills, and test preparation.
Students can expect a supportive, encouraging learning environment, clear explanations, thoughtful instruction, and lessons tailored to their individual goals. My priority is to help each student build skills, confidence, and a genuine sense of accomplishment.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review or warm-up, followed by direct instruction and examples. Students then practice with guidance before completing independent work. We finish by reviewing what was learned and identifying the next steps.
What sets me apart is my broad teaching experience and ability to work with a wide range of learners. I tutor K–8 math and K–12 ELA, as well as public speaking, debate, study skills, leadership, and test preparation. I have experience supporting GATE and AP students, as well as students with specialized learning needs.
My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable, and prepared to succeed.
