About Bethan
I'm 34, Welsh, and I'm genuinely one of the most laid-back people you'll ever meet. I love people and getting to know them, and I believe in kindness above all. I have quite a silly sense of humour, and I will talk for hours if you let me.
My favourite bands at the moment are The Lawrence Arms, Bayside, and Sleep Token and I would say that my taste is fairly eclectic. My favourite genre of music is Skate Punk and my least favourite is any modern jazz, but I can still appreciate it for what it is.
My hobbies aside from music are crafting, collecting Pokémon cards, gaming, and caring for my 3 cats. I am an animal lover and I was really lucky to go to Australia last year and meet some wombats, kangaroos and koalas. It was the absolute best 3 weeks of my life!

My approach to tutoring guitar, bass and ukulele is one that is flexible and sensitive to my students' needs. I feel like music lessons should be fun, but relaxed, and that they should be a safe space for learners to feel like they can be themselves.
I mainly teach half-hour lessons, and typically only offer hour lessons for students that are locked into exam studies, but I am open to offering hour-long lessons to anyone over the age of 11 really.
I hold a Masters degree in Creative Music Practice, an Undergrad degree in Creative Sound and Music, and two BTEC diplomas in music and music technology. I am up to date on my Safeguarding children training. I got my first guitar tutor job in 2014, with a music school in South Wales, and I've been teaching ever since!
I always say that all abilities, all ages are welcome. If you have a young child that you think may be a bit young, but is really keen to start. We can do a free trial lesson to see how they go!
