About Charney
I am a kids yoga and mindfulness teacher with over ten years of experience. I have taught kids from ages 3 - 16 years old at schools, yoga studios, and private classes at homes. In this time, I have refined my teaching and incorporate yoga, breathing, mindfulness, and sometimes art or creative practices to make these sessions so that we address whole-child health and well-being.

I teach kids yoga and mindfulness from a well-being perspective, and even though the lessons are fun and engaging, we are learning life skills, coping mechanisms, emotional intelligence, concentration, and so much more in each class. We also focus on learning how to manage emotions and on stress release and breathing for the older age groups. I also really enjoy teaching family classes, where the family gets to spend quality time together in a healthy environment.

Before becoming a yoga teacher I used to attend Charney's classes. The space that she held was always warm, safe and nurturing. After becoming a yoga teacher myself, when ever I felt off centre, I would look out for one of her classes so that I could safely connect with myself again.
Charney is a very experienced yoga instructor and she shares her deep knowledge in way that enlightens even those that are new and just beginning their yoga journeys.
Charney is very well known in the Cape Town yoga circles and comes highly recommended.Charney is a trustworthy tutor for so many reasons. I have worked with her for the last three years, and she has been faithful and excellent in all she does. Her gentle, accepting, intuitive, profiencent and genuine teaching style provides a challenging and exciting class for students who have been practicing for years as well as a safe, encouraging and adventurous space for those who are new. Charney is a delight to learn from and work with.
