About Geo
I studied Ancient History at an undergraduate level at King's College London and at a postgraduate Master's level, I carried on studying at KCL, narrowing my focus to Art & Archaeology. At A-Levels I received all A's in English Literature, Politics and History.
Essay-writing can be tricky, it's about practicing technique at the end of the day. I have plenty of experience tutoring, both online and offline, and am pretty confident that we can go over your essays and find your personal writing style together!

I am flexible and absolutely adaptable to individual methods of learning, that's the benefit of tutoring! I like to take a pro-active approach *with* my tutee rather than just regurgitating and talking at you for an hour (how boring!)
A session will usually last around approx. an hour to an hour and a half depending on the age and level, usually following a structure of:
- Looking back on the last session and any questions that might have arisen since
- Looking at what outcomes we want to achieve in this session (we will usually decide the next session's outcome at the end of the current one)
- Going through key concepts and practicing putting those thoughts and ideas into writing
- Going over any essays you’ve written in the week and evaluating your progress
- Discussing areas of difficulty and working out how to overcome them (whatever they may be!)
- Evaluating what we've covered in the session and whether we are happy that we've reached the outcomes set out at the start
- Deciding how to consolidate what we've covered in the session (like homework but not as drab)
- Looking ahead to the next session and deciding what outcomes we want to achieve next time

I had the pleasure of learning Korean from Geo and really can’t recommend her enough! She is patient and engaging and I felt every lesson to be genuinely engaging and enjoyable.
She has a well-structured teaching style but adapts it as needed to fit your learning pace and goals. Her fluency means you develop a really natural and conversational ability but she’s also able to drill down on the more technical aspects if you’re preparing for something more official like the TOPIK exam. There were some really challenging concepts that she explained clearly, and I always felt encouraged to practice speaking even if I was making a lot of mistakes.
