About Kyra
I have a strong high school and university background in English composition, grammar, and literature comprehension skills. I took several AP and Dual Enrollment classes in high school focusing on composition methods and literature comprehension. Likewise, I scored a perfect score on both the SAT and ACT grammar sections, and in the 98th percentile for the literature section of the SAT. Furthermore, I studied literature extensively at Hillsdale College, a university prestigious for its rigorous English department. As a Biochemistry student, I have found a strong foundation in writing and literature essential to communicating smoothly and effectively. I hope to guide students in fundamentals used not only in acing tests, but also in every other aspect of the professional world.

Anyone seeking high school standardized test prep in Grammar and Literature sections is welcome, as is anyone looking for tutoring in foundations of writing.
Tutoring will be catered to the student's needs, specifically strengthening areas of struggle or deficiency. Writing can be easily broken down into fundamental guidelines, and teaching from the bottom up is the best way to build confidence and individuality.
I was educated in the Institute for Excellence in Writing's curriculum, which I believe to be the most helpful tool in learning writing and grammar. Likewise, I bring aspects of my AP/DE and university classes to aid with creative expression and active engagement with the literature.
