About Emily
I am a 15-year-old junior in high school located in California. Although that seems young, I have been tutoring younger students since I was 11! I have won multiple awards for not only my English work but also for my volunteer work as a tutor. My favorite hobbies are knitting, crocheting, and spending time with my dog. I'm all about building good character and being prepared!

Lessons are tailored to the student's needs and learning style. I tend to set smaller, achievable goals every session in order to induce motivation and feelings of accomplishment. I try my best to use real-life examples and create a positive learning environment. As an online tutor, I often use multiple visual aids and platforms to teach my students. Small assessments are often given during sessions to track progress. Students are always highly encouraged to participate. The first and foremost thing that I focus on as a long-distance tutor is building a relationship with my student.

Emily is very patient! She worked with me for 6 months at first, when I didn't even know what crochet was. She walked me through and assigned me lots of practice. She uses any money she makes for supplies as donations for great causes. Her prices are affordable and worth every penny!
Emily is truly great at what she does! She has tutored my daughter for around a year. Do not be fooled by her young age! She is very kind and works well with elementary students even in groups. She will make exceptions for younger students so don’t be afraid to reach out.
