About Josephel Mae
I am a student at a university in the Philippines. Since I was little, I was surrounded by people who teach. It really excites me whenever I see books. I even teach kids from my neighborhood at age 6. Every afternoon, they gather at our home, and I teach them how to spell and even read them stories to be followed with questions afterward. It was like we were just playing around, but it's what makes my childhood memorable. Months before, a friend told me how thankful she was that I taught her how to spell. It made a big change in her life today. She grew up loving English more. Hearing that makes me want to help a lot of people, even with little things like spelling. I am doing it not to receive appreciation but to know that there are still kids who can't make it to school due to financial problems. I hope I can help those in need and form a living chain to inspire people how teaching could change someone's life and so they do it to others too.

I am still studying, but it doesn't make me an intellectual inferior. But it is a strength because I know what you feel and what you need. Every student or individual has a different level of understanding and learning styles. It is sometimes what schools miss the most because everyone is seen as the same. Little things could be hard for someone, but it doesn't mean they aren't capable. That is what tutors are meant to do; to teach patiently and to willingly adjust to meet the student's needs.
