About Hannah
I believe learning can be fun, yet still effective. My entire way of studying while in high school was to turn it into a game so that I could understand what I was learning, and now, I get to teach that to your student! I think it is crucial that when learning you have ways to remember, whether it be mnemonic devices, flash cards and memorization or a game (Or all of the above) it is very VERY important you remember what you're learning, or you aren't really learning. I have experience as a summer camp leader which means I am very good at not only keeping your child's attention, but also being able to be on their level and understand their frustrations or when they're overwhelmed.

I love to make my teaching fun, by turning learning into a game. Children learn best when they are having fun and by providing an environment where they can, your student will thrive and won't know they are learning until they ace their test. A typical lesson plan will start with assessing where your student wants to improve or what they need help with. Once we've found a weak point we can then get to work! I will also ask for some interests of your student so I can personalize their learning games (For example if they like Minecraft then we will play games with a Minecraft theme) My lessons are for elementary school students mainly but I can work with junior high students as well (K - 9). My lessons focus on students who have struggles in reading comprehension, getting their point across, and summarizing as well as essay planning and overall effective communication.
