About Jemimah
I am a Year 12 student with a strong passion for English and helping others develop their confidence and skills. I achieved a Grade 9 in English Language and Literature at GCSE and enjoy supporting students in improving their reading, writing and communication abilities.
My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging and personalised. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual goals whether that is building confidence, improving exam technique, strengthening writing skills, or developing a deeper understanding of texts.
I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace. Through clear explanations, engaging activities, and constructive feedback, I help students become more confident and capable English learners.

My English tutoring lessons will focus on developing students’ confidence, communication skills, and understanding of the English language. Lessons will be tailored to each student’s needs and will include improving reading comprehension, expanding vocabulary, strengthening grammar and writing techniques, and developing the ability to structure clear and effective answers.
Students will practise key skills such as analysing texts, identifying literary techniques, expressing ideas confidently, and adapting their writing style for different purposes. Lessons will also include exam preparation, essay planning, feedback on written work, and strategies to improve accuracy, creativity, and overall performance.
