About Miaq
My teaching style is all about empowering you to lead your own musical journey. I believe that when students set their own goals, learning becomes more meaningful and exciting. Whether you dream of writing your own songs or jamming with friends, I help you build the skills to make it happen. You’ll learn to feel the groove, not just count it. I guide you in developing a strong rhythmic sense that brings your playing to life. We’ll also dive into expressive techniques that help your guitar speak with your voice. If you’re someone who learns best by doing, experimenting, and breaking the rules a little, you’re in the right place. I support creative breakthroughs by giving you space to explore while offering the structure you need to grow. Each lesson is built around your interests, your sound, and your goals.

I started my guitar journey as a self-taught teenager, spending countless evenings rewinding songs and figuring them out note by note. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion, leading me to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar), where I refined my technique and deepened my understanding of the instrument. Over the past 3+ years, I’ve been sharing this knowledge as a dedicated guitar tutor.
I believe learning guitar should feel exciting not overwhelming. That’s why I break things down with patience, humor, and practical hacks that actually work. One of my most popular tools is the “riff breakdown” method, which helps students crack tricky parts of songs by ear and memory. I also love throwing in real-time songwriting challenges to keep things fresh and creative.
Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or returning after a break, I’m here to support you at your pace. We'll build strong foundations, play music you love, and most importantly—have fun doing it. Let’s turn your daily practice into a daily joy.
