About Yoko
I am a native Japanese speaker from Osaka, Japan now permanently living in Western Sydney. I have a bachelor's degree in tourism and professional experience in the hospitality/tourism/airline industry, making me perfect if you're looking to learn Japanese communication skills in business level customer service context, or simply for a casual conversational level. If you're a seasoned Japanese speaker who wants to learn the art of Osaka/Kansai accent in Japanese, I can help you with that too! I have experience in planning and delivering workplace training in both English and Japanese, thus I'm capable of creating a personalized training menu based on your needs to reach your goals together. I am also conversational in Spanish, if you're a Spanish speaker who is learning Japanese/English. I have been doing casual "talking" sessions once per week with the learners in Spain/Latin America via video calls to improve their Japanese/English speaking in this aspect.

My lessons are mainly focused on improving your conversational skills in spoken Japanese of all levels via active practice on listening and speaking through conversations on various topics, or by assisting you in learning reading/writing in Japanese provided you have set expectations on what level you want to achieve with written Japanese. Based on your levels and needs, we will discuss and build the content of your training fully personalized and catered, from full professional business level to the very beginner level. The typical lesson starts from 1x 1 hour-session per week, however depending on your needs the length of each lesson and frequency can be increased of course.
