About Jane
I started my own career in the NHS and quickly moved into research as I was fascinated by genetic research and the application to medicine. I completed a PhD in evolutionary genetics and presented my work abroad at conferences, which I really enjoyed. I started teaching in 2003 and have taught KS4 Science as well as my specialist subject A level Biology. I now tutor online full time as I enjoy supporting young people to excel at exams

I listen carefully to the needs of every student and teach in a way that helps them understand concepts, using an online learning platform which is highly interactive. I have built up a large resource centre and I use these to support essay planning, longer answer construction and planning and show students how to answer practical questions. I help students make links between topics and this really helps them to understand Biology and apply it to exam questions. I use real exam papers with model answers and examiner feedback to develop student confidence and experience of exam technique. I have 20 years of teaching experience both face to face and online and teach A level Biology. My students have become successful Medics, dentists, geneticists and vets.

Details
I use an online platform which is interactive so that students can write answers to questions and ask me questions too. There are opportunities to draw graphs and write equations so that all aspects of the Biology syllabus are covered. I teach AQA, OCR, International Edexcel, CIE, and WJEC syllabuses. My rates include revision resources which I have developed for each topic, as well as exam paper practice.
