About Sergio
Hello world! COMU JAMU? My name is Sergio and for over 2 years I've been teaching in educational centers as well as giving private tutoring to friends worldwide! I'm passionate about etymology and ancient languages, like the dialects of our peninsula that are almost disappearing. I was born in a small fishing village in Southern Italy, where I still speak Calabrian dialect today. I speak English and Spanish, have studied Arabic, and am beginning to learn Portuguese. I believe in the power of language and words to unite seemingly distant cultures and peoples.

For over two years, I've taught in educational centers across Europe and Latin America, also providing private tutoring to friends worldwide. I'll support you in listening, helping you identify accents from across the peninsula; in writing, recommending books and online texts to aid your learning; in conversation, so you'll be recognized as a true local! I'll also be your private dialect tutor: some less touristy areas in Italy still speak these ancient and poetic languages, learn them! I'll also teach you the customs of each region so you can understand our ancient culture.

The lessons with Sergio are dynamic and fun. He has helped me with grammar exercises that seemed impossible to me. The Italian language is very complicated, but thanks to his help, it is much easier to understand. Every now and then, he speaks in Calabrian dialect, which is a very fascinating language that I would like to learn!
