With over 30 years in education, what I know to be true is that ‘standards’ and ‘curriculum’ or more about what knowledge is attainable than the students who are trying to attain that knowledge. Students are the most essential part of the equation, especially students who learn differently such as those with ASD or ADHD, and/or have differences such as Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia. Any curriculum ‘at hand’ is not as important as the learner grappling with that curriculum. My approach is creative and esteem-building. If you need a tutor who is rigid and demanding, please look to others. If you need a tutor who will nurture, inspire, and build, let’s chat. I’ve taught English, history, music, art, drama, GATE, speech & debate, with an emphasis on short-term, self-esteem building goals through project based design.
