About Rana
Hi, I’m Rana!
I studied Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at A-level (plus an EPQ) and achieved an A*AAB, I also gained an 8 (A*) in GCSE maths— but I remember how overwhelming it all felt at first.
That’s why I now offer 1-1 tutoring to help students stay on top of content, build a strong understanding, and grow in confidence. I focus on each student’s weaknesses and share the exact strategies that helped me.

I tailor my teaching experience to suit students academic needs and I employ a range of methods during lessons to maximise their understanding of each topic, including space repetition, exam practise, active recall and much more. Lessons are typically structured via the following:
- I work with the student to identify their current level/grade in their chosen subject and set a target for what they would like to achieve by the end of the year.
- I cover the content to students ensuring that they are made aware of key terminologies and marking points. I also repeatedly go over topics to consolidate their learning.
- At the end of each lesson, students are assessed on their understanding in order to determine how they have got on with the topic.
- I also help psychology students master essay questions using information I have acquired from an AQA examiner which has landed me with an A* in my official exams.
- more importantly, each lesson is uniquely crafted around the student’s weaknesses so that they are able to reach their maximum potential.
I am committed to creating a student-centred learning environment that is both academically enriching and enjoyable for all students.
