About Emma
I know that GCSEs and A-levels can feel stressful, and sometimes art can become more about grades than creativity. I want to help you find a balance between the two—so you can meet the requirements, but also create work that actually means something to you.
I’m here to support you, especially when things feel challenging. Whether you’re struggling with ideas, confidence, or techniques, I want to help you push through those moments and realise what you’re capable of.
Most of all, I want you to leave art not just with a grade, but with pride in your work and a stronger belief in your own creativity.

My approach to teaching art is student-centred and adaptive. I aim to break down complex concepts into manageable steps, provide structured yet flexible guidance, and create an inclusive environment where all learners feel encouraged to experiment and grow. I place strong emphasis on:
* Developing sketchbook work and creative thinking
* Supporting coursework and portfolio development
* Preparing students for exam components and timed assessments
* Offering one-to-one or small group support where needed
I am particularly committed to working with students who may feel less confident in their abilities, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve outcomes they can be proud of. I believe that with the right support, every student can succeed in art.
