About Silvia
Hi!
my name is Silvia, I’m 19 and I come from an island in Italy called Sardinia. I am studying English with Creative Writing at UCD and my passions are reading and writing. I decided to become a tutor in Italian because I enjoy helping others learn my language and I believe that having a native speaker teach you the language is very important because it helps you to not only understand your mistakes, but also to better understand proper pronunciation and cultural idioms.

Italian
The lessons are aimed for high school and younger kids and they will be of one hour. My approach is to assess level, listen, and provide guidance for comprehension, several exercises and quizzes to reinforce what was learned. I will assign homework to help the students practice what they’ve learned and to improve their skills. I also believe live conversation is most valuable as well as the use of media (tv shows, movies, etc.).
I’ve been teaching Italian virtually in an informal setting for the past 6 months and I’m looking forward to extending my outreach to the community.
