About Elisa
I am native Italian speaker currently based in London. I am engaged in an academic research project that explores the intersections between Italian Literature and the History of Art. My teaching journey began 12 years ago when I became a private tutor in Italy. It was a transformative experience that allowed me to assist children, teenagers, and young students in their academic pursuits, including homework assignments and preparation for their final high school exams. To further immerse myself in the world of language instruction, I dedicated six months as a volunteer with a cultural organisation that provided free Italian lessons to foreigners. This experience allowed me to share my language and culture with individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of connection and understanding through the power of language. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach Italian both abroad and within universities. From Berlin to Gent, Oxford to London, I have guided students in their language learning journey, serving as a private tutor and also within formal educational settings. This exposure has equipped me with a multicultural perspective and an adaptable teaching approach, tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of each student.

I’ve been taking Italian lessons from Elisa for 6 months now. She’s very attentive and she is carefully preparing me for the exam I would like to take. She gives reasonable amount of homework which I learn a lot from. I understand more now when my husband speaks to our daughter in Italian. I’m very happy with her as a teacher and would highly recommend her.
Elisa is an excellent teacher. She helped me with my A-level Art History, especially with developing arguments and structuring essays. She always provided thorough feedback and was patient and encouraging. I learned a lot, I can only recommend her!
I studied as an EPQ candidate with Elisa as my mentor.
