About Chiara
My name is Chiara, I am 25 years old, and I was born in Calabria, southern Italy. I moved to Milan when I was 18 to study linguistics and cultural mediation, majoring in English and Arabic. Languages are my biggest passion, and I have always been motivated to help people improve their language skills. I volunteered for 2 years teaching Italian to refugees, and that experience was so rewarding for me that I want to keep using my expertise and competence to see other people reach their language goals. I moved to Dublin 5 months ago to work in a language school, and I am looking forward to building a network of students here.

Having taught Italian to refugees for two years, I am aware of the unique challenges that come with learning the language for foreigners.
My degree in linguistics and being fluent in English help me understand the needs of English speakers when approaching a Latin language as Italian.
Whether you need someone to just practice your conversation skills with or you need to build your Italian from scratch, I can help you improve and make the most of our time together!
Apart from teaching grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in an interactive way, I can provide a unique perspective on regional differences in the language, having lived both in northern and southern Italy.
I believe language learning can be fun and I am a very extroverted and friendly person who always tries to incorporate the Italian lifestyle and traditions in classes.
My lessons are targeted to help students become fluent and have a skill set that allows them to communicate effectively with Italian speakers.
I offer hourly individual classes to students of all ages.
