About Giacomo
I was born in Florence, and later grew up in Milan. I always have been fascinated by literature and the performing arts. I was one of the top students throughout my youth and dedicated years studying Latin, Greek and philosophy, before fully committing to theater and moving to the US in my twenties. I lived for over a decade in New York City and moved to Los Angeles right before the pandemic. Throughout my years in the US, I have supported myself by translating plays and teaching Italian to willing students and very much enjoy letting new people into Italian culture and language.

I have a dynamic way of teaching and constantly adjust my lesson plans to make sure my students are engaged, entertained and actually learning. Having a background in ancient languages (Latin & Greek) I have a solid foundation of the Italian grammar and syntax, and having lived for many years in the States I also understand well where most English speakers struggle the most. It's not all about the grammar though! I am a performer by trade and love to help my students explore the incredibly rich world of Italian literature, music and theater as well.

Perfect! Giacomo is very professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He’s very accommodating and easy-going, yet it’s clear that he truly wants his students to succeed.
