About Alex

I'm Alex Greens, a krav maga instructor with 25+ years on the mats. I served in an Israeli special-forces counter-terror unit, completed my krav maga instructor courses in 1997, and I've run the Winnipeg Krav Maga Academy since 2012. I've taught seminars for the Winnipeg Sheriff's Department and the Canadian military. I teach adults only — private one-on-one coaching, small groups, pad work sessions, weapon disarming, and fitness-focused martial arts training. Whether you want real self-defense skills, sharp striking on the pads, or just a hard, fun workout built on real technique, every session is built around you and your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are private one-on-one krav maga coaching built around you and your goals — real self-defense skills, sharp striking on the pads, weapon disarming, and fitness-focused martial arts training. A typical session starts with a warm-up, then technique work, pad drills on the focus mitts (combinations, footwork, striking mechanics), and conditioning to finish.

Private 1-on-1: $60/hr or 5 sessions for $275. Pad work coaching: $60/hr. Weapon disarming (knife, stick, firearm — taught progressively and safely): $60/hr. Martial arts fitness workout: $60/hr. Small groups of 2–4 people: $100/hr total. Seminars (half or full day) by custom quote.

Lessons are in person in Winnipeg and online via video call. I teach adults 18+ only.

What sets me apart: 25+ years on the mats, instructor courses completed in 1997, special-forces counter-terror background, and running the Winnipeg Krav Maga Academy since 2012 — with seminars taught for the Winnipeg Sheriff's Department and the Canadian military.
