About Amin
As a 3x IOI medalist (2022-2024), I provide elite USACO coaching for students who want to stop "the grind" and start seeing results. After five years in Competitive Programming, I’ve realized that the speed of improvement isn't about how much you practice, but the quality of your training.
I’ve seen many talented students hit a ceiling by solving problems at random without extracting the core underlying principles. To break through, I focus on strategic coaching that prioritizes critical thinking over repetitive tasks. This approach doesn't just improve scores—it builds the rigorous problem-solving skills required for top-tier college admissions and the highest levels of competition.
I recently helped a young student go from having a hard time approaching problems to independently solving Hard USACO Bronze problems in just 8 weeks. We didn't do this through a rigid, boring curriculum—we did it by making the subject exciting and by internalizing core ideas.
The "Stepping-Stone" Method
I don’t believe in throwing students into the deep end. That's a shortcut to burnouts. Instead, I use a carefully curated approach:
• Bridge Problems: If a student finds a problem difficult, I don't just answer. I select 2-3 "stepping-stone" problems that teach the same core idea more simply. Once they master those, the "hard" problem becomes an easy win.
• Generalizable Thinking: We focus on the "Core Ideas" that appear in hundreds of problems. My students build a mental library of strategies they can apply to "unseen" problems to make the best out of every problem we solve.
I even helped one of my students build his own library for every problem we solved.
• Personalization over Rigidity: No two students are the same. I spend time "behind the scenes" tailoring our problem sets to fit your child's specific strengths and interests, ensuring they get the greatest results for their effort.
• A Supportive & Flexible Environment:
I pride myself on being a patient, kind, and supportive coach. I prioritize the student’s comfort above all else. If they are having a long day, we pivot the session to keep it light and simple. If they are feeling energetic, we push the limits.
• Flexibility: I understand that family schedules change. I am highly flexible with adjusting our sessions to ensure we meet when your child is at their best.
World-Class Expertise (The Credentials)
While I focus on being an approachable mentor, I bring the highest level of competitive experience to our sessions:
• 3X International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) Bronze Medalist (2022, 2023, 2024).
• Codeforces Master (Handle: amin2022, Rating: 2192).
• APIO Bronze Medalist (2023).
• National Scientific Committee Member: I help lead and design national-level competitions, meaning I know exactly how problems are built and what judges look for.
Proven Success.
I have coached over 60 students, with 60% of my trainees successfully qualifying for their National Teams. Whether your child is just starting their USACO journey or aiming for the International Olympiads, I provide the roadmap and the mentorship to get them there.

What I Teach:
I focus on the logic and mental frameworks required to solve "unseen" problems. We won't just memorize algorithms; we will practice breaking down complex constraints, optimizing for partial points, and finding edge cases under pressure. My expertise includes Advanced DP, Graph Theory, and complex Data Structures (Segment Trees, etc.).
My Method:
We solve problems together in real-time. I show you the mental shortcuts and debugging strategies I used to medal at the IOI three years in a row. I work with everyone from beginners to USACO Platinum/National Team candidates.
