Introduction to Music Production. User-friendly beginner crash course for aspiring music producers.

Jamie was recommended to me by my partner, and we've been having weekly lessons together with Jamie for about 8 months.

He's very versatile in terms of what he'll teach, very supportive and caring, taking the time to make sure you're comfortable and that what you're doing is safe. He's been able to help me to sing songs that I never thought I'd ever be even remotely close to being able to do in a very short amount of time. If you're also having lessons as a couple, you can be assured that you will both have equal opportunity, time and attention within each session.

Jamie is very patient and understanding, open to teaching pretty much anything, and will even bring songs to lessons that he thinks would be helpful for you to sing in order to focus on and further develop particular techniques, with absolutely no pressure to do it if you don't want to, for whatever reason. Most likely he'll have a few suggestions, just in case, but in my experience he's been pretty spot on with recommendations, and if I don't do anything it's usually because I need to take it home to build some familiarity with it first, rather than not wanting to.

Jamie is very good at helping you to visualise what you need to do, and is very versatile if a particular method or explanation isn't working for you; he'll have a lot of ways to approach helping you achieve what you need to, and if you listen to him, chances are you will surprise yourself.

He's earnest in his desire to see you do well, and will be just as excited as you for each and every breakthrough. I'd wholeheartedly recommend booking a session with Jamie.

Amazing! I have gone from only being able to sing in the style of timid cooing pigeon to belting and growling like a musical puma.

My partner and I have had lessons with Jamie for less than a year and we have both made a lot of progress thanks to his technical knowledge and support. We are vastly different in terms of our strengths, weaknesses and overall experience levels, but Jamie has been able to support both of us equally in improving our singing techniques.

Jamie is also incredibly patient and understanding when it comes to anxieties around singing. I half-expected any teacher I approached would reject me due to shaking more than jelly in an earthquake whenever I tried to sing, but Jamie has been nothing but kind and determined to help me on my journey. There is no judgement in our lessons and I feel comfortable singing even when I inevitably miss a note or produce a somewhat peculiar sound.

If you want to learn to sing, even if it feels an unrealistic ambition (or especially if it feels unrealistic!), I would strongly recommend you give lessons with Jamie a go.

Jamie is an enthusiastic and considerate teacher who saw me progress from someone who's understanding of singing was essentially guesswork into becoming blatantly aware of the different parts of my body that work together to produce sound. His teaching style adapted to me as a person and he more than made sure that I got my fair share of time for the lessons paid for. Heartily recommend :)

I've been taking singing lessons with Jamie for the past five months and I don't think I will ever want to stop. I've always been very self-conscious about my voice (or lack of) and when I started my lessons with Jamie I wasn't even sure why a vocal coach would ever want to work with me. It was certainly a leap of faith for me and man did I do the right thing!
Jamie's patience and unwavering focus on guiding his students on their singing journey are the two things that I admire the most about his tutoring approach. I found his lessons to be well-structured with clear instructions and constantly adapted to the progress I make week-on-week. He's also very good at challenging me in a constructive way - I'm now convinced he knows better than me what my voice can achieve and he helps me gradually and steadily get there while at the same time allowing me to express and surprise myself.
From offering a solid foundation on breathing technique to vocal placement and projection, Jamie has achieved what I thought was impossible: discover my singing voice and put it to work. Every lesson with Jamie feels like I'm reintroducing myself to myself and this wouldn't have been possible without his patience, knowledge and support.

I have been taking Lessons with Jamie for 3 months and i can hear a difference in my voice when i try and sing.

I am a beginner singer and know no theory or techniques for singing, Jamie makes it easy by explaining these technique in a simple way that i can understand.

He also made it a comfortable environment to bellow out the highest note i can and the loudest, i am still bit nervous about trying to sing and making sure that no hears my bad voice but Jamie made it very comfortable to let my voice do what it does best and made it comfortable for Jamie to hear my voice.
