About Lia
ABOUT ME
I am an International actress based in London. I have a BA in Acting and I am currently doing an MFA in Acting here in London. I have trained as an actress, dancer and performer for more than 10 years now, and I know everything boils down to this: PREPARATION.
I have trained with renounced artists from different parts of the world (UK, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Romania) in subjects such as embodied voice, acting for theatre, film, voice overs, improvisation, clowning and movement (Feldenkrais, contemporary dance, movement). I have acted in 3 languages so far and I have experience with Acting auditions for BA and MA level from different countries. I have also worked in the Acting industry both here in the UK and in Europe.

As a teacher I have a very integrative approach to acting and what I value the most in discovering the craft of acting is availability.
I tackle a role from different sides such as :
intellectual understanding,
authentic emotional involvement,
building your character and circumstances
physicality,
voice embodiment.
My focus is on building portfolios, breaking down a scene or a monologue, (drama school) audition preparation, introduction to Shakespeare, self-taping skills, industry essentials and personal development acting classes.
I use a blend of techniques rooted in Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Meisner, improvisation, Viola Spolin and Michael Chekhov.

Perfect! Lia is knowledgeable and passionate about acting and embodiment, she designed the perfect lesson for me after carefully listening to what I was looking to gain from our sessions. I'm looking forward to taking more classes with her in the future and feel really lucky to have found her!
