About Sina
I am an Iranian composer and music educator with a rich international background. My compositions, ranging from solo pieces to orchestral works, have been performed globally, reflecting a deep engagement with the structural textures of Iranian classical music. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specialising in Iranian Classical Music, from the University of Tehran, and a Master of Music in Composition with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). Since 2018, I have been dedicated to teaching music composition and theory to students of all ages and levels. My teaching focuses on: Composition techniques Music theory Analytical skills My goal is to inspire creativity and a passion for music in every student I work with, combining academic depth with creative innovation. I look forward to embarking on a musical journey with you, exploring the rich tapestry of music composition and theory.

My lessons are designed to help you develop your skills across four key areas: Composition Techniques: You’ll learn the essentials of the trade, including theme/melody writing, harmony, rhythm, counterpoint, and form. As you advance, we’ll dive into more intricate techniques like motivic development, orchestration and orchestration analysis, and different textures in music. Musical Knowledge: Understanding theory and music history enriches your compositions. We’ll analyse works across styles and periods to uncover what makes them effective and how you can apply those ideas in your own music. Realising Techniques in Composition: Turning ideas into reality is a crucial skill. We’ll practise applying theoretical concepts to your compositions using notation software or manuscript writing. You’ll develop the skill to get your desired sound out of the ensembles. Developing Your Own Voice: True artistry comes from expressing your individuality. My lessons encourage exploration of different genres and techniques to help you discover your unique musical identity. Although this is a very long and complex journey which needs experience, we need to learn how to initiate exploring this in our music. Each lesson is interactive and tailored to your level, interests, and goals. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced student, I’ll create a supportive environment where you feel inspired to learn and grow. Together, we’ll turn your creative ideas into impactful music.
