About Elsa
My name is Dr. Elsa Khwaja, and welcome to my classroom!
I have a Doctorate in Public Policy, a Master's in Public and International Affairs, and a Bachelors in Political Science, and over 15 years of experience working in the policy, development and education sectors. I have a strong passion for education, and for supporting and mentoring our future generations.
Having spent two decades in higher education, I feel a strong calling to give back.
I want you to feel comfortable with me as your instructor and I am here to make class enjoyable, engaging, and rewarding. I look forward to getting to know you, and helping you in your exciting journey of learning, whether this includes advice on your research design, educational program, or improving your academic English! I have a collaborative, tailored method of teaching. I would like to get to know the needs of students, encourage students to ask questions, and ask feedback throughout our sessions. I will support students from all levels and backgrounds to learn how to write academic English. This will include academic papers, essays, academic blog posts, dissertation and thesis papers. We will discuss the nature of academic writing, and I will provide resources in the development of those skills. I would really like to tailor my lessons in accordance with what students need. I will also help more advanced students submit abstracts and proposals to conferences.
