About Chase
I am a student at the University of Kansas pursuing a degree in Computer Science and have been involved in chess clubs for about 5 years. I have a love for teaching people. As I've mentioned before I've tutored chess a lot through out high school and have helped train many people. I was apart of the Kansas high school state chess championship winning team in 2024 and helped train many of its members. One person I helped train reached a rating of 1900. I would help to teach more people the rewarding skill and hobby that is chess.

I will start with teaching the basics of the game, board set up, how the pieces move, and rules. I will make sure you know these before moving on. Then after teaching this to begin with, I will move on to making sure you know how pieces move and any special interactions on the chess board. Then I will move onto teaching fundamentals slowly building up to strategy. I hope to get all of my students to my rating or higher before moving them onto another teacher. I have tutored chess for three years to large groups of elementary aged students and have also taught high school aged students how to play.
