About Kate
My name is Kate Mancia, and I find fulfillment in teaching and mentoring all those who wish to learn. From computer software, to music, to reading and writing, I enjoy seeing my students succeed in all their ambitions.
I have been teaching as a student aide for 3 years. In those three years, I have watched many students grow and their designs flourish. I've watched their confidence bloom as they learned from their mistakes, and I feel a strong sense of pride when I watch my students succeed.

As a teacher's aide, I practiced tutoring students one on one using computer software. I find that listening to any questions and guiding my student's through their thought processes showed the best results in their learning.
A typical lesson plan with me would involve a demonstration of using commands (drawing a floor plan using commands) and giving time for my student to repeat the same commands. As we progress, the student receives more freedom to explore different methods to achieve the same result, and choose which one is best suited for them.
