About Ethan
I am a designer with over 20 years of experience in furniture, textile, and interior design, complemented by an extensive education in the US, UK, and Italy. My design work has been exhibited in galleries across the US and at the Clerkenwell Design Fair in London. Teaching has always been a source of joy for me—I love sharing knowledge and guiding students on their creative journeys. Having worked extensively in the design world, I understand the value of real-world guidance and constructive feedback. I also emphasise the importance of understanding design history—not just memorising images but decoding their origins, context, and potential for innovation. My goal is to help students grow, improve their work, and explore new avenues with confidence.

I teach through discussions, Q&A, and critiques, guiding undergraduate design students or those seeking a deeper design foundation. With qualifications including an MA, BSc, and Post-Bacc in Interior Architecture, Architecture Design and Building Science, and Art History, I bring 20 years of international experience in textile design, fine art, antiquities, interior design, and furniture design.
