About Brandon
I am a committed Drum Tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching college students. I help learners build strong rhythm skills, proper technique, and confidence through clear and organized lessons. My aim is to make drumming easy to understand and enjoyable. My teaching style is structured and flexible. I begin by understanding the student’s current level and musical goals. Lessons are then planned step by step, focusing on timing, coordination, hand and foot control, and groove development. I use innovative teaching methods such as rhythm counting systems, tempo-building exercises, and guided practice routines. I also include song-based learning so students can apply what they learn to real music. Creativity is encouraged in every lesson. Students learn how to create their own beats and fills while understanding rhythm structure. I help them think critically about how drums support different music styles. As a mentor, I believe in discipline and accountability. I provide regular feedback and help students build consistent practice habits. My supportive approach helps college students grow into confident drummers.

My approach to teaching drums is focused on understanding rhythm, building creativity, and developing discipline. I believe drumming should be fun, clear, and goal-oriented. I guide students with patience while encouraging independent thinking.
I begin by learning about the student’s skill level and musical interests. Lessons start with basic skills such as grip, posture, timing, and coordination. Students are encouraged to think critically about rhythm patterns and how drums fit into different styles of music.
Creativity is developed through beat creation, rhythm variations, and guided improvisation. I include play-along tracks and practical exercises so students can apply what they learn. This helps students build confidence and musical expression.
As a mentor, I support students in setting realistic goals and building positive practice habits. Accountability is maintained through regular feedback and progress tracking. Students learn responsibility and consistency through structured practice.
Along with drum lessons, I also teach related subjects like rhythm reading, basic music theory, tempo control, and practice planning. This helps students become well-rounded musicians.
