About Serena
I am a dedicated singing tutor with 15 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. My approach focuses on helping students grow into confident and expressive singers. I teach a wide range of styles including Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country. Each lesson is carefully designed to balance technique with creativity.
I believe strong fundamentals are the key to vocal success. My sessions include ear training, harmony development, improvisation, and essential music theory. These elements work together to build a well-rounded musician. Students not only learn how to sing but also understand what they are singing.
Every student is unique, and I tailor my teaching to suit individual goals and learning styles. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced performer, I guide you step by step. I focus on improving vocal control, tone, and range. At the same time, I help you develop stage confidence and emotional expression.
My goal is to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to explore their voice. I aim to inspire a lasting passion for music while helping you reach your full potential.

The Church Ensemble Player develops a strong vocal foundation rooted in blend, harmony, and controlled projection suited for group settings. They learn to adjust tone and dynamics to support choral balance while maintaining clear pitch and expressive phrasing. Their training emphasizes breath control, listening skills, and precise intonation across classical and contemporary worship styles.
The Crossover Artist focuses on versatility, moving confidently between classical, pop, and jazz with stylistic awareness. They refine vocal color, articulation, and phrasing to match each genre while maintaining healthy technique. Smooth transitions between head voice, chest voice, and mixed voice become essential for flexibility.
Both personas train pitch accuracy through focused ear training and scale work. They learn to interpret rhythm and groove differently for each style, from structured classical timing to relaxed jazz phrasing. Musicality is shaped through dynamics, expression, and storytelling.
Modern tools play a key role in progress and consistency. DAWs help record and review performances, metronomes build rhythmic precision, and pitch training apps sharpen accuracy. Regular self-assessment encourages growth.
With this approach, singers build confidence, adaptability, and a deep passion for mastering multiple genres.
