About Sir Charles
# Good to Know
Hello! I’m **Sir Charles**, a friendly and dedicated tutor who is passionate about helping students improve their skills in both **English and Filipino**.
I am especially comfortable teaching the **Filipino subject**, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, literature, and communication skills. I explain lessons in a simple and understandable way and make sure students have enough time to practice and ask questions.
My teaching style is **patient, supportive, and student-centered**. I believe that students learn better when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and confident enough to participate.
Whether you need help with school lessons, assignments, reading, writing, or simply want to become better at Filipino, I am happy to guide you step by step.

My Approach as an ESL Tutor
I believe that learning English should feel comfortable, practical, and enjoyable. As a tutor, I want my students to feel that they can speak, ask questions, and make mistakes without being afraid of being judged. My goal is to help them become more confident in using English in their everyday lives.
My Teaching Method and Techniques
I use a student-centered and communication-based approach. I adjust my lessons depending on the student’s English level, needs, interests, and learning pace.
During my lessons, I use simple explanations, conversations, questions, vocabulary activities, reading exercises, pronunciation practice, and real-life situations. I also use games and interactive activities when appropriate to keep students interested and involved.
I believe that students learn best when they are given opportunities to actually use the language, not just memorize rules.
A Typical Lesson
I usually begin with a short conversation or warm-up to make the student feel comfortable. After that, we review something from the previous lesson before introducing the new topic.
We then practice the lesson together through examples and activities. I give the student plenty of opportunities to speak and apply what they have learned. Throughout the lesson, I provide corrections and feedback in a friendly way.
At the end, we review the important points and talk about what the student can continue practicing.
What Makes Me Different as a Tutor
For me, being a good tutor is not only about knowing English. It is also about understanding the learner.
I am patient and willing to explain things in different ways when a student does not understand something right away. I also try to create a friendly atmosphere where students can feel relaxed and confident.
I want my students to feel that their progress matters, whether they are learning a new word, improving their pronunciation, or finally having the confidence to speak in English.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate English AND FILIFINO learners, including children, teenagers, and adults who want to improve their English skills.
I can help students with speaking, conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and listening. My lessons can also be adapted for students who want to improve their English for school, work, travel, or everyday communication.
Most importantly, I welcome learners who want a tutor who is patient, encouraging, and willing to learn with them.
