About Julien
I own a top-rated music studio in Toronto and a Pro Audio/Music Retail Store. When I started teaching, I wanted to help students get discounts on their new audio gear. Over time, we ended up launching our very own retail store, Blackout Audio, featuring all your favorite brands, big and small! I've been working in the industry for 18 years, gaining extensive experience as both a Music Producer and an Audio Engineer. Fun fact: I once taught audio engineering to a Grammy-nominated music producer!

I teach Music Production, Recording, Mixing, Mastering, and Music Business to beginners and intermediate students. I've had the privilege of teaching students from many local audio engineering and music production institutes.
What my students love most is the hands-on learning experience in our professional studio—an environment equipped with top industry tools that allows them to develop their skills in a real-world setting. Beyond the technical side, I also help artists navigate the music industry, guiding them on how to get signed to labels and build lasting careers.
Lessons are held at our brand-new 2,300 sq. ft. studio in downtown Toronto or online. I work with all genres and ages, so if you're new, don't be nervous! We're here to achieve your goals—while having fun along the way!

Perfect! Julien and Dylan were great. Dylan provided a comprehensive walkthrough of the DAW I was interested in learning and shared excellent tips for getting started.

I first started working with Julien in 2021. He came highly recommended as one of the top mixing engineers in Toronto. Julien has done such an amazing job that I inquired about his tutoring service and I have been doing it weekly ever since. My music has over 240,000 plays now!
