About Khaled
With over 10 years in professional creative FX roles, 20 years as a C++ Graphics Engineer, an MSc in Computer Science (Graphics), and a strong background in film production, I am well-prepared to help you venture into your new career. I have worked on 2 feature films, and in one of them, I was in charge of the Visual Effects department

After 10 years in the film industry, I've successfully transitioned from software development to mastering the art of visual effects (FX).
Now, my goal is to guide others through this exciting journey. Leveraging my experience, I aim to provide a smooth pathway for those aspiring to make a similar shift, helping them to navigate the transition effectively and minimize mistakes.
My program encompasses a blend of theoretical knowledge, creative exploration, and technical proficiency in visual effects. Your hard work and practice are key to mastering the artistry of VFX.
I will customize the course based on your goals and needs! My experience spans both simulated and procedural effects (e.g., fire, explosions, liquids, particles, destruction, etc.), production aspects, and storyboard realization. For example, we can discuss FX production steps, including the process from storyboards to effects and compositing, how to interpret storyboards, and how to generate ideas for your concept art. If you are interested in technical and mathematical aspects, then we can delve into 3D math, programming in C++, Vex, pipeline development, etc. Finally, as no FX are possible without rendering, we can also discuss physical-based rendering in detail.
