About Saanjh
I am a Hindustani classical vocalist with over 13 years of musical training, currently learning in the Agra Gharana tradition under esteemed vocalist Ustad Waseem Ahmad Khan Ji. My training has given me a strong foundation in classical vocal technique, sur, taal, and raag. Alongside my classical training, I have extensive performance experience. I presented my own solo concert, Saanjh-e-Mehzbeen, in Vancouver, performing for an audience of approximately 200 people, and have also performed at other concerts and cultural events in Canada. My musical background extends beyond classical repertoire into Bollywood, Hindi, and Punjabi music, allowing me to help students develop strong vocal foundations while also working on the music they genuinely enjoy singing. I aim to pass on the knowledge I have received through years of dedicated training in a patient, approachable, and encouraging way.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and musical interests. Lessons can include vocal warm-ups, pitch and breath control, Indian classical foundations such as swar and alankar, and learning Bollywood, Hindi, or Punjabi songs. Beginners are very welcome, and lessons can be adapted for children, teens, or adults. Lessons can be taught in English, with Hindi and Punjabi used where helpful for pronunciation, lyrics, and understanding. My goal is to make singing feel comfortable, enjoyable, and structured while helping each student build confidence and improve their voice.
