About Lauren
Hi! I’m Lauren — an enthusiastic and experienced mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for clear, supportive teaching.
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin, where I received the Gold Medal for top academic performance. I’m completing a master’s in physics at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics on a fully funded, highly competitive scholarship, having chosen it over offers from Oxford and Cambridge for its strong emphasis on research and scientific communication. Awarded one of the prestigious Mathematical Institute Scholarships, I will soon begin a fully funded PhD in Mathematical Physics at the University of Oxford.
I have over four years of experience tutoring mathematics and physics at secondary and early university level. My teaching style is structured, patient, and tailored to suit each student’s needs — whether you're preparing for the Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, or university exams.
I’ve worked with Studyclix as a subject expert and video educator for Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle subjects, and I championed the new standardised format now used across their subject solution videos. I’ve also taken part in competitive research programs at CERN, Trinity, and the Perimeter Institute, which have honed my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

I first started grinds with Lauren in 5th year for maths and physics. She was absolutely exceptional! She made everything that I found difficult make complete sense, put the emphasis on understanding the content, not just rote learning it and made it a really enjoyable experience. I ended up with an O1 maths average and a H1 physics average by the end of 6th year and I could have never done it without Lauren’s help. I couldn’t recommend her enough :)
