About Peter
I've studied at three different institutions (the University of Essex, the University of Connecticut, and the University of London) and attained a BA in US Studies and an MA in Gender Studies.
I believe that two things are fundamental to good essay writing: an interdisciplinary approach and a clear, concise writing style. Approaching your subjects with an interdisciplinary lens is the best way to have original ideas that make your work stand out against that of your peers. Concise communication is the best way to put not just facts and figures but your own personal knowledge and experience onto the page.
I have supported myself throughout my studies by offering proof-reading to students. Also, I have developed techniques to improve skills in reading, notetaking, academic writing, and revision that can immediately improve the work of any student in any discipline.

YOUR LESSONS
I offer one-to-one online an in-person tutoring for GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate students that is tailored to the needs of the individual. The length and frequency of sessions can be determined by the student's requirements and availability.
I bring a broad-based interdisciplinary knowledge to a range of subjects. This allows the opportunity to consider new ideas and to place different perspectives in conversation with each other, which is an instrumental skill to improve academic writing.
IMPROVE YOUR ACADEMIC WRITING STYLE
Communicating your ideas effectively is the biggest factor in improving the quality of written work. I will use my experience in professional proof-reading to improve the student's essay and thesis writing. I can help to improve academic writing technique, such as the use of concise language and appropriate referencing. Recently, a University of Essex Master's thesis that I proof-read and suggested improvements to was awarded a grant for being the best-written dissertation produced in the school that year.
For those more concerned with exam revision, I have unique methods and templates to share to help cram all the information for those tricky tests!
