About Kalina
I am a UCL Genetics graduate with a Master's of Research degree in Bioengineering (72%) from Imperial College London. Currently working in a Life Science Consulting firm.
My projects have involved working in synthetic biology to help treat antibiotic-resistant bacteria in Israel, working with CRISPR and other genetic perturbation techniques in sea urchin embryology in Berkeley, CA. For my MRes, I developed a novel delivery system that would potentially reach patients and treat cancer! I am a very visual and passionate scientist who can help you grasp any concept, easy or difficult and help you excel in your studies!

My teaching method is to figure out first which concepts and study material you find most challenging. I will support you by providing you with high-quality materials and visual explanations of difficult concepts. During my GCSEs and A-level studies, I always found it much easier when my teacher went more in-depth, rather than just making me memorize facts. I find that extra reading and a little research go a long way in solidifying a concept, which then makes it so much easier to learn.
