About Alvin
Hi, I'm Alvin—a bilingual English tutor with a passion for helping students communicate with clarity and confidence. I hold a degree in Film & Television Production from New York University (NYU), where I also worked as a teaching assistant, supporting students in developing their academic writing, presentations, and creative thinking. I’ve served as a guest lecturer at TEDxNYU and National Chiao Tung University, and I’ve led training workshops at NBCUniversal and Peloton. These experiences have shaped my ability to connect with learners of all levels and help them find their voice in English. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and goal-oriented. I work with junior high and high school students on writing, IELTS prep, speaking skills, and critical thinking—always adjusting lessons to fit their unique pace and personality.
